From the desk of Presidents
“The purpose of education is to make better human beings with skill and expertise. Enlightened human beings can be made by teachers.”
– Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
In1987 a group of leading citizens of Kalwa realized the need to establish a good English medium school. Hon. Rajaram Rama Salvi set up the Manisha Education Trust with the help of Illustrious Educational Consultant and started Manisha Vidyalaya Marathi (Aided) English School (unaided) and Commerce Science junior College as well as SJRS Degre College in memory of his Mother जानकीबाई रामा साळवी.
MET Manisha English School and Junior College is trying to create an atmosphere of reverence for education and a healthy environment where academics, sports and co-curricular Facilities mould our students and motivate them to be the brightest and the best. In order to do this, the school works towards inculcating certain values in the students in order to enrich their mind and spirit and also to develop essential moral attributes like truthfulness, courtesy, generosity, compassion, justice, love and trustworthiness in them.
With the rapidly changing global ecosystem and employment landscape, it is becoming increasingly crucial that students not only learn but, more importantly, learn how to earn. Consequently, education today is moving towards less content and teaching how to be creative and multidisciplinary, think critically, solve problems, and innovate, adapt, and absorb new material in dynamic fields and therefore school starts implementing NEP2020 as early as possible .
This policy proposes revamping and revising all aspects of the education structure, like its regulation and governance, to make a new system aligned with the goals of 21st-century education.
In the upcoming years management is working to get different authorities affiliation and to establish Various facilities to the people in Kalwa Kharegao Vitawa and Thane area nearby by 2024.
School is also starting foundation classes for NEET,JEE, MPSC ,UPSC aspirant students at MET from June 2024.
So, I welcome parents and students to be part of MET family to share common ideals and aspirations as we build through a challenging and enriching educational experience for our students.
